The YCL is delighted to announce our return to the Peak District with our YCL Summer Camp 2026!
Summer Camp will take place on the 12th – 14th of June at Thornbridge Outdoors, located in the Peak District national park.
Our Summer Camp carries on the memory of YCL legend Benny Rothman, the main organiser of the 1932 Kinder Scout Trespass, by giving young people across Britain the opportunity for political education, socializing and enjoying the great outdoors.
We are glad to be hosting in the heart of the Kinder Scout Trespass, the 1932 mass protest against private landowners denying access to land.
The weekend will be great, with a wide variety of activities on offer for comrades, including political discussion, film-screenings and plenty of fresh air!
Whether you’re new to the League, an experienced cadre or a friend of the League, Summer Camp will offer something for you.
The Summer Camp is self-catered, with access to a full functional kitchen and access to an indoor dining hall. Toilets, showers and WiFi are also available on-site.
This year, accommodation will be provided with spacious bell tents housing a maximum of 5 people. Please note that attendees will be allocated accordingly and each tent will be single sex.
Summer Camp is open to YCL members and friends of the YCL aged 14 – 29yrs old.
Tickets are available at £50 solidarity, £45 waged and £35 low/unwaged. This covers accommodation in the bell tent, meals and access to the facilities on-site. We have tried to make tickets as cheap as possible, if cost is still a barrier for you please get in touch.
