Following our 51st All-Britain Congress which took place at Ruskin House, London between 26-27 August 2023, twenty-three of our members were elected to the new Central Committee of the Young Communist League. The new Central Committee endeavours to do their utmost to carry out their duties with the energy and diligence expected of members of the Young Communist League.

Under our Constitution, which was updated at the Congress, our new Central Committee is entrusted with putting into practise the decisions, policies and priorities of the Congress over the next two years and to continue the essential work of building the YCL. The Congress committed the League to continue and expand its work in communities, to struggle against imperialism for world peace, and to deepen its work within the trade union movement.

"This Congress has taken place amidst an intensifying class struggle, in which we refuse to passively accept a bleak future dictated to us by the ruling class. Armed with a growingly militant trade union movement, and a burning desire for global peace, the Communist youth in Britain today are demonstrating the steadfast determination to fight the capitalist class to achieve socialism in our lifetime. Join the Young Communist League today to build the struggle for socialism!"
